LED Retrofit

Are you still using incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lamps? Surely you know these are the incurring source of you’re high electricity costs, especially when you have many of them installed in your house, office, or anywhere else. Using them for longer hours is sure to continuously increase the price of your bills. Amid this, you may want to greatly consider LED lights because apparently, it is the most efficient lighting technology available today.

What is LED Light?
LED or Light Emitting Diodes are made of diodes that emit light. A diode allows for the flow of a current in one direction only. Its versatile structure allows it to be assembled into many different shapes, making it more useful than other forms of lighting. The color of the light depends on the material used in the light-emitting semiconductor.

How to Install Led Retrofits?
LED is becoming increasingly popular in different industries. There are now more businesses that use it to light their offices and buildings. Many residential houses and home subdivisions are also switching to it. They use LED Edison Bulb, LED Downlights, and others. So, if you plan to do the same, it is important that you know how to properly install LED retrofits.

Step 1
Turn the power off. Others just turn the light switch off. This is okay. But to be sure no minor or major accidents will happen, you may choose to turn the main switch off. Generally, the power has to be turned off when working on a light fixture.

Step 2
Then, point the lamp base to the lamp holder. Insert it and twist according to the direction that will leave the lamp base attached to the lamp holder. Be sure to tighten the lamp all the way to prevent any shaking

Step 3
For the next step, get the lamp and point the lamp base connector to the lamp connector found on the fixture. Connect them and ensure that the connection has the right tightness to keep the hold stable.

Step 4
The last step involves spring hooks. Squeeze them into their respective appropriate mounting clips. Then, guide the fixture into the housing slowly. To completely flush the fixture into the ceiling, push its outer trim.

With these four easy steps, you can already enjoy the beauty and benefits of LED lighting wherever you want. But, if you’re not yet convinced about shifting to LED light, you may want to read some of its benefits below.

    • Extremely energy efficient. Because LED is a diode that emits light, it doesn’t require much wattage. Thus, electricity bills would reflect a low amount of payment for power consumption.

    • Long life. There are providers that say you can use LED for up to 60,000 hours while others say 100,000 hours. Probably, it  depends on the quality. But one thing is sure, you can use LED for decades. For example, using it for only 8 hours a day can leave you using the bulb for around 20 years.

Other benefits are durable quality, ecologically friendly, zero UV emissions, light dispersement, design flexibility, and others.
